Ryan McKnight

Ryan is a highly experienced attorney leader with extensive in-house and law firm experience.  He has broad experience within the energy (oil, gas, and renewables) and technology sectors, leading on diverse projects, devising strategies, and overseeing matters to meet business needs in a practical and business-minded manner. Ryan has honed abilities applicable to both granular, foundational drafting and negotiation, as well as overarching corporate governance and leadership. Ryan is committed to providing his clients with the highest level of legal expertise and guidance to help them achieve their business goals.

Ryan's experience as in-house counsel allows him to efficiently and effectively serve his clients, as he understands their need to manage risk while achieving commercial ends. He is able to provide guidance that is useful in the real world and manages exposure.  Having worked closely with various departments within publicly traded, private equity-backed, and start-up companies, he has gained a deep understanding of business operations and the legal challenges they face. This knowledge enables Ryan to provide clients with practical and effective legal advice that takes into account their unique needs and goals.

When he is not advising and fighting for his clients, Ryan can be found spending time with his wife and two kids. He is a Deacon at his local church, serves on the board of Central Houston Young Life, and enjoys yoga, pickleball, and travel.
